Actor Tom Bosley, who was popular in the TV comedy "Happy Days" in the 1970s, has died at the age of 83. The actor, known for his role as father in a typical American family and his film career for five decades, died at his home outside of Palm Springs, California, on Tuesday (19/10).
As reported by Reuters, Tom Bosley successful career in Hollywood as an actor and guest star in a number of favorite TV programs in the 1960's like "Route 66", "Dr. Kildare," "Marcus Welby, MD" and "Bonanza" can not be separated from the characters and their everyday behavior. Throughout his film career, "Happy Days" was the one who made him reap the greatest success. In the comedy series, he played a role as the father of the central figures named Richie Cunningham, the teenager in the 1950s.
"Happy Days", which aired from 1974 to 1984, managed to lift careers of Hollywood stars Henry Winkler (Fonzie), and Ron Howard - who played Richie and later became director of the film to the next grade.
